What is Rally?
Think of an AKC Rally event as any team sport: You and your dog navigate a course, side-by-side, as you steer him through a course of 10-20 different signs. Each of these signs provides instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. The dog and handler move continuously throughout the course with the dog under control at the handler’s left side. There is a clear sense of teamwork between the dog and handler both during and between the numbered signs. Although each performance is timed, having a good race time is not the goal; it’s all about working as a team while performing the skills, with the dog under control.
Started in 2005, AKC Rally is a fun family sport and participation increases each year. All dogs are welcome to participate in AKC Rally, whether purebred or mixed breed. It’s a perfect starting point for those who are new to canine sports, as AKC Rally provides a challenging introduction to all AKC Companion Events for dogs and handlers to strengthen their skills.

Rally classes
BEginner Rally - 6 weeks
Prerequisite: Beginner II class or permission of instructor.
Pre- Registration is required.
An intro to the sport of AKC Rally Obedience. Signs used in AKC Rally Novice are covered as well as the rules, entering shows, courses, & many other items. Vaccinations must be current & must be presented by the first class. A Bordetella Vaccine is highly recommended. Cost of class is $100 for 6 weeks

Advanced Rally class - 6 weeks
Advanced Rally Class is for handlers and dogs that have learned the Rally Novice signs and want to continue on to Rally Intermediate & Advanced. Signs used in AKC Rally Intermediate & advance are covered as well as a quick overview of the Novice signs, Rally rules, courses, and many other items. Cost is $100 for the 6 weeks:

Master Rally Class - 6 weeks
Rally Master Class is for handler and dogs that have a rally advance (RA) title or has a leg (1) towards their advanced title. Signs used in AKC rally Excellent & Master are covered as well as a quick overview of Novice thru Advanced signs, rally rules, courses and many other items. Dogs must be able to work off lead. The cost of the class is $100 for the 6 weeks.
